What is a sample sale?
You’ve probably heard “bridal sample sale” floating around and thought… wait, what does that actually mean? Is it damaged? Is it old? Is it different?
Deep breath. Let’s talk it out 🤍
How Bridal Samples Actually Work
Twice a year, bridal designers launch their new collections at big fashion markets. Bridal shops from all over the world go to these same events to pick the dresses they’ll carry for the season. Yes, all of us. (And yes, we really do see people like Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress just casually walking around like it’s normal 😭)
That’s when shops, including us at Bella Brides, purchase one of each gown we want in store. That dress becomes our sample.
The sample is what you try on at your appointment. We clip it, shape it, and use all our stylist magic so you can see what it will look like in your size. When you say yes, we take your measurements and order a never worn gown in the closest size. It is not custom made to your body. It is ordered in the size that fits you best and then altered to be perfect on you.
And here is the big myth we need to clear up. A sample dress is not a “knock off” version. It is not different. It is literally the exact same dress you would order. It has to be. Otherwise how would you know what you’re getting? The only difference is that it has been tried on before.
That’s it.

So Why Do Shops Have Sample Sales?
Most bridal shops keep samples on the floor for a long time. Over the years, those dresses get very loved. Think makeup, loose beads, popped button loops, normal wear from tons of appointments. When new collections come in, shops clear space by discounting these samples.
Which means you can score a designer gown for way less. We love a smart financial decision 👏

What Makes Bella Brides So Strategic
About 50 percent of our brides are eloping or on shorter timelines. That means we turn dresses over fast because so many brides buy off the rack. Our samples do not just sit around for years getting worn down.
Translation. Our dresses are in way better condition than most sample sale gowns.
And even so, they are still 50 to 75 percent off.
During our April Sample Sale, every single dress is off the rack and priced at:
$599
$799
$999
$1299
No weird pricing tiers. No surprises. Just pick your dress and go.

The Important Part 💫💫💫
Our Sample Sale is April 18 through April 25 ONLY. These prices and these dresses are available during that week only. After that, they’re gone.
At our November sample sale, we saw 44 brides. Dresses absolutely fly. Once one is purchased, it is gone forever.
If you want a designer dress, a major discount, and to take it home the same day, this is your moment.
Book early. Come ready. And prepare to leave with the dress and the deal 🤍✨
